Shebeen Opening Ceremony

It’s almost time to start thinking about your studies again boys and, more importantly, the second half of the Internal League season. I hope you’ve all remained fit and ready to play because we have a big first game back against the Purple Cobras. And as you know – it’s “must win”.
But, before we get to play that all-important game on Wednesday, 1 August we’re having an opening ceremony and game in Robertson on Saturday, 28 July to celebrate the fact that we’re Shebeen Boys and that we’ve got our new kit!
We will leave on Saturday morning at 10:00 sharp (so meet at 9:30) from Rondebosch, the bus will pick us up in front of The Hussar Grill or for those of you who need parking, we meeting at Chris’s flat (Ronday) at 9:20. Dress code is formal so wear your #1′s seeing that we’re playing a local team in Robertson (in our new kit) and want to look smart when we arrive. Blue shirt, old boys tie and khaki trousers.
We will stay in Robertson after the game for our opening ceremony and remain overnight at Lofty’s dad’s farm! Bring your party shoes and enough clothing to stay warm should you pass out next to the bonfire. Bring sleeping bags.
The cost for the entire event including: bus trip, game, after game drinks, a dinner “cooked” by Sparky and many many more drinks, is R100 (but this cost might be reduced… so budget for R100).
This one’s going to be bigger than last year!
Unfortunately Tulip won’t be joining us because he’s digging stuff in the States…
