Boys, it’s time to defend our honour.
That pesky team from thefifths.com miraculously won the 1st Hashes test at the Pinelands Dustoval back in March and since then have lorded it over us at every turn – making up imaginary challenge totals and, in my opinion, making a mockery of our sacred oath to drink beer and be social. Listed are some of their more ludicrous claims: 7-1, 6-2, 45-1, 8billion-2, Goats over Chickens. It doesn’t always make sense, but then again, neither does quantum physics or Andrew Moir.
Anyway, I digress. The time for the 2nd Hashes Test has arrived!
When: Tuesday, 1 May 2007
Where: Kelvin Grove
What Time: 10.30 start (so be there by 10:00)
What to Wear: Whites if you’ve got ‘em. Bring a Black T-Shirt to bat in!
What to Bring: R20 each for pitch hire, R5 to pay for the ball, money for discounted drinks from the bar, sunscreen (I hope), hats, deckchairs, friends and family.
If you have not yet mailed Rolf but are keen for a game please confirm by mailing him at his rolf @ shebeenboys.co.za email address. If you’re unsure about whether he knows you’re playing or not mail him again! See you there. To defend the honour of the beer keg and our lady folk.
